I’ve been really busy with work and helping my mom. She recently broke 3 ribs in a fall. I promise I’ll get to your questions and start being more active on here when I have time! .__.

1000burning-forests asked: My ears are stretched to a 11/16" (18mm) and one of them has a very minor blowout. I hate it, is there a way to fix that? My goal size is 1" and I'd hate to get there with that blowout there too.
I’m sorry dear, but I regret to inform you that you’ll have to downsize (at least one size, two sizes if your willing). Since the blowout is minor and hopefully you just stretched so you haven’t had it for long.. It might just heal on it’s own. If not, and you’ve had this blowout for awhile now.. you might have to take some medical action in this. But at least for now downsize so that your ear can absorb that blownout tissue back into your ear. Salt soaks and rubbing emu oil will help as well. But make sure you wait the proper amount of time in between stretches!
gegele40 asked: I just read the "ripoff" message/post and I want to apologize for whoever wrote/sent that-- I help run awful modifications and anyone that has the knowledge to help others should use it. Thank you for helping out others instead of just standing idly by, that means a lot! Also, our blogs should NEVER be competing each other, but working together to help others.
Thank you, I greatly appreciate it! But I should say the same to all of you guys for what you do! And I fully agree, I feel like the more people send out proper information into the vast void of the internet, the better. Like I said to the anon who posted, I do not want to compete. I’m doing this for fun and to help. I am glad to have your support so we all can work together to help those with questions or who don’t know any better! :)
A girl had asked me about methods of stretching. She asked to be anon, so I responded privately, but I thought I’d share my answer with everyone:
So you’re probably thinking tapers, which are absolutely awful if you abuse them (and most people do) so I do not suggest doing that. There are multiple ways to stretch your ears but only the ones that I am about to mention are safe than others.
1. There’s the taping method, in which you add 1 small layer of Teflon tape a week, use ONLY Teflon, never scotch, electrical duct or anything else. After a couple weeks (depending on the stretch, you can insert the next size up. Teflon or “Plumbers Tape” is mainly used to seal pipes where they’ve deformed but in our case it’s safe for taping and non-adhesive. Some people do use non-adhesive bondage tape, but I suggest using Teflon, it’s cheaper, easier to use and you can find it at any hardware store.
2. Tapers. There are some safe tapers which allow you to go up only one size. The horrible tapers I mentioned look like this below.
These tapers leave off the impression that you can skip sizes. Which will lead your ears down a path of cat anus and blowouts.
These are safe tapers. If you can compare the two pictures.. You probably see what I mean. The tapers don’t drastically jump from one size to the next, therefore, safe. Also, NEVER wear tapers as jewerly. It over time it will cause weak spots in your ear and will eventually cause a blowout during your stretching process or worse, rip your ear.
I’ve explained the two common ways to stretch. Also another thing to remember; after a stretch use only titanium, surgical steel or glass, they are easy to sanitize and any other type can be used after your ears are healed. A fresh wound can be susceptible to infection and natural materials have tiny holes in them which can trap bacteria.
Things NOT to do:
Dead Stretching; but not using any extra equipment to help the stretch.
Weights; stretching by weights can also cause weak spots.
Using silicone; do you want a cat anus ear? No? Don’t wear silicone after a stretch and NEVER use it to stretch.
